SAFE SHELTER COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER SUPERVISOR
RECOVERY COACH, ENTREPRENEUR, CAREGIVER, COMMUNITY ADVOCATE.
Welcome to my corner of the Counterflow Team! I'm Traci Ettison, a proud and long-time resident of the vibrant Asheville, NC community. I am a Wife to my amazing husband and a mother to two loving children and a bonus mom to 4 outstanding children and a grandmother to our 2-year-old granddaughter. My journey in life has been shaped by my unwavering passion for caring for others.
For over 15 years, I dedicated myself to the medical field as a CNA and Certified Medical Assistant. It was a profession that taught me the true value of compassion and empathy. However, life had other plans for me, and I found myself at a crossroads. As a single mother with no job or financial support, I faced adversity head-on. Through faith and the incredible people who surrounded me during that challenging time, I emerged stronger and more resilient.
With determination and grit, I transitioned into the realm of entrepreneurship. Becoming the owner of a cleaning franchise was a pivotal decision for both my children and me. It allowed us to chart our own course and build a better future together. I'm living proof that even in the darkest moments, with unwavering belief in oneself and hard work, one can overcome anything.
My journey didn't stop there. I ventured into various business avenues, including a second cleaning company, a women empowerment brand, and a Candle and Skincare business. Each endeavor is a testament to my commitment to helping people in different ways.
Beyond business, I wear multiple hats as a Community Health Worker, Certified Recovery Coach, and Mental Health Advocate. Additionally, I proudly serve as a Mental Health First Aid instructor, equipping individuals with the tools to support mental well-being in our community.
My mission in life is simple: to inspire and empower others. I want to show people that they can conquer life's challenges if they refuse to quit, believe in themselves, and put in the work. Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey of resilience and community advocacy. Together, we can make a difference!
