Community Paramedics Clinical Lead
Carla D. Ellis, using she/they/them pronouns is lovingly known in her community as “MC Ellis, and is a native of Frankfort, KY. MC has been in the Black Mountain/Asheville area for 15 years serving the community through training and mental health services. After grad school and working with the Asheville “at-promise youth” population, they found their niche as a Resilience Educator and Implementation Specialist within the nonprofit Resources for Resilience.
MC is also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and proud owner of a private practice, MC Counseling & Consulting, PLLC located in Asheville, NC. After serving almost 2 years on the All Souls Counseling Center board, MC decided to Step off to support the Asheville black and brown community as a therapist who understands the impact of historical and intergenerational trauma.
Under the direction of Counterflow LLC, MC is one of the newest members of the Community Paramedics team as a therapist supporting on-the-ground community work in technical and tangible ways to center and elevate the people over systems.
